we need a resolution

Inspired by a collaborative Are.na channel where, at the time I'm writing this, 133 New Year's Resolutions have been shared, I created my own private channel on the platform dedicated to the same.

Currently 13 blocks long, my resolutions range from direct ("keep learning pottery," "shoot the damn film"), the poetic ("move [in body, in mind, in spirit]," find the middle ground between gay son and thought daughter... camp out there for awhile"), and the cheeky ("walk the dog more," "learn a badass guitar solo"). All 13 blocks, though, are [attempts to be] in service of my larger goals. Reflections on what worked in the past year and proposed experiments for improving my quality of life in the new year.

I've never really been one for resolutions. I'm ashamed to admit that, lately, I haven't even been one for goal-setting. Hopefully, the playfulness of some of these commands stick well into 2026.
